THPRD Fee Changes for Out-of-District Residents

1/1/06

Please note that CMLL participants that live outside of THPRD boundaries will need to register at the THPRD Athletic center and pay a fee to play baseball with CMLL.

An annual fee of $196 OR $49.00 for spring quarter only-baseball season) will be assessed to individuals or households who wish to register and/or participate in THPRD classes, programs and activities. The annual fee will not be applicable to Drop-in Programs, although Out-of-District Drop-in fees will be increasing.

With the new annual fee, there are these important features to note:

  1. Out-of-District residents will no longer pay an additional 75% premium on the cost of a single class or program and will now pay the In-District rate. In-District residents will still have first priority in registering for classes and programs.
  2. Out-of-District residents will be able to pay the annual fee on a quarterly basis as they register for classes or programs.
  3. Out-of-District Senior and Disabled classes and programs will be included in the new Out-of-District fee changes however without subsidies.
  4. The new Out-of-District fee adjustments will include Out-of-District youth and adults participating in THPRD sports leagues and/or affiliate sports leagues. (All Out-of-District youth and adults must now register with the Park District prior to sign-ups to participate in all THPRD and affiliate sports leagues.)

The intent of this fee policy adjustment by the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District Board of Directors is to establish fair and equitable fees and charges for use of District facilities and programs by Park District and non Park District users.

Getting a THPRD Card

THPRD has new rules that will require all people registering for a sport affiliated with THPRD, both in-district and out of district, to provide a THPRD identification number.

If you live in-district for THPRD:

  • Go to the THPRD facility and bring with you a photo ID and a utility bill containing your address.
  • You will not have to pay for the card.
  • On the card will be your new THPRD # (this will need to be included in your registration).
  • Each individual in your family should receive their own THPRD #.

If you live out-of-district for THPRD:

  • Go to the THPRD facility and bring with you a photo ID and a utility bill containing your address.
  • You may purchase either a quarterly or an annual Out-of-District card.
The cost of the quarterly card will be $24 ($47 after June 1), and this card will be effective for the spring term (during the spring baseball season only).
  • The cost of the annual card will be $94 ($187 after June 1), and this card will be effective for a full year.
  • If you purchase a quarterly card, make sure you tell them you want the card to be effective for the SPRING TERM.
  • On the card will be your new THPRD # (this will need to be included in your registration).
  • Each individual in your family should receive their own THPRD #.

If you have further questions, you can also go to THPRD's website directly to read more about these changes.
